hello to all that read this my name is debbie and i am ill i have been on total disability since 2002 as i am sure you all know monthly income from such is very low after i pay my bills i have nothing last winter i went without heat i could not find help i eat ooddles of noodles for my diet because they are only 10 cents a piece and also food is not in my budjet my true need though is my car is broke down ive been told it will cost around 1100.00 to repair the bearings and joints are shot the brakes and the front tires i have been told not to drive it because the front tires may fall off but i have to much of a need for it not to even though i am so scared to do this but i have doctor appointments have to go to the hospital need to get my meds so i have no other option where i live there are not buses i live almost an hour away from my doctor i know i am asking for alot but i dont know what else to do there is no way i can afford to fix it so i am asking if any one out there can help me i am in maine maybe a garage could donate there help i really dont expect that though but if there is someone that could help financially i could never express the gratitude i would have for those of you that read this and wish you could help i say god bless you i send this out now with a prayer thankyou for reading  debbie

 in response to RALPH7...   ralph7 thankyou for your respone i have applyed at that sight and am voting everyday trust me im trying every means out there i was feeling frustrated when i wrote that message i do relize no single person is going to come to me offering to fix my car and with false hope thats what i was looking for just being stupid in my thought pattern but there are some kind people here like yourself thankyou for that wishing for your health god bless you and thankyou deb

Hi

I noticed you have been here for a while. And brought up some good reminders about places to look for help - thank you. Like you my car hasn't been running, can't really afford to fix it so trying to get a chance to repairs for it or a different one. And make the choice of dropping insurance on something I am not driving and I love to drive.  I have to do more calls in the morning and then through Sat. part time . Take care as I off to visit on the phone late with someone who needs to chat and do other things while the internet is on.

 in response to ibotter...   thankyou so kindly for taking the time to read my blog and it was very kind of you to get the sight for me using up your time you have a good heart unfortunatlyi am familiar with it they do local only i have 2 doctors and a councler that i see which are about 1 hour away and i have to go periodily to a hospital that is a liitle over 2 hours away for radiation treatments so these groups can not help me but i so what to thank you for taking your time to offer me help god bless you   deb

I know it is very frustrating but we are living in horrible economic times.  I am sure you don't want to hear this, but I too was unable to afford to fix my car and just had to let it go, sold as junk.  It is very hard in a rather rural area to get rides even to the grocery but since you are disabled check with your state programs for suggestions.  It is very hard to live without a car but there is no worry about gas, the insurance or the registration fees that most states are now doubling or tripling and there are always people who will drive you to places to make a fast buck if you have it.  I know... yuck... but it is a sign of the times.  May God bless you and have mercy on us all.

Hello,  I am sorry.  There are many of us in the same boat and we try our best to help one another out.  My blog is about my personal journey in life.  Where I have been and where I am at now.  We here on aidpage are family.
